Mirai Nagasu was born on April 16, 1993 in Montebello, California. She started skating in 1998 and currently trains with Charlene Wong at the Pasadena Figure Skating Club. She is the 2007 US Junior Champion and the 2008 US National Champion. She won her two ISU Junior Grand Prix events in 2007 and qualified for the 2007 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final which she also won. She won the 2007 ISU Junior World Silver Medal and the 2008 Junior World Bronze Medal.
