Sarah Hecken was born on August 27, 1993 in Mannheim, Germany. She first started skating in 1996 and currently trains with Peter Sczypa at ERC Mannheim. She is the 2008 German national Champion and she won her first international medal at the 2007 Pokal der Blauen Schwerter when she won the gold. She has made two appearances to the ISU World Junior Championships placing as high as 7th overall.
